Amado Formoso Maralit


Biography

In June of 2016, the author earned his Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L) degree from the Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas (U.S.T), along España, widely known as the Catholic University of the Philippines. In the year 2000, he was conferred the degree of Master of Public Administration (M.P.A) by the University of the Philippines (U.P), Diliman; and in 2011, the degree of Master of Laws (LL.M.) by the University of the City of Manila (P.L.M), Intramuros. He finished his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree at the Philippine Law School (P.L.S.) in 2006, and took and passed the Bar Examinations of the same year. He successfully hurdled the Career Service Executive Examinations (C.S.E.E.) of 2005, and, in 2007 was awarded the Career Executive Officer Rank VI (C.E.O. VI) by the Philippine Civil Service Commission (C.S.C) upon his appointment to a senate directorship. He presently serves as a Senate Director, the Chief Parliamentarian, of the Upper Chamber of the Philippine Congress. The author teaches law and jurisprudence to those enrolled: in the Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) program of the School of Law & Governance of the University of Asia & Pacific (U.A.&P.); in the Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree program of the San Sebastian (S.S.C.-R) Graduate School of Law; in the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree program of the Philippine Law School (P.L.S.); and in the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.B.A.) degree program of the De La Salle Araneta University (D.L.S.A.U.). He is slated to teach Jurisprudence, and Development Policy Formulation, to master’s and doctoral students, of Civil Law, and Development Studies, at the Graduate School of the University of Santo Tomas (U.S.T.) in the 1st Semester of academic year 2016 – 2017. He also accepted to handle the Criminal Law Review class at the Bulacan State University (Bul.S.U.) in the 1st semester of the same academic year. Since 2015, he has been serving regularly as a Lecturer on the Law Governing Senate Investigations in Aid of Legislation of a duly accredited M.C.L.E. provider (The Philippine Law School) under the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Program of the Supreme Court of the Philippines
