Description:
This book began as a simple idea several years ago as the intersection of technology and the law caught my interest. I thought of writing an extensive article about such intersection. As my random materials about the subject grew, and as I started to slowly pour my thoughts into writing, the task began to look more and more impossible by the day: among others, I did not have the time to do what appeared to be an ambitious project; I was faced with a mountain. Then the pandemic came which “forced” me to find the time that seemed so elusive before. The idea of writing a book instead of an extensive article was born. Soon, I found myself spending more hours in front of my laptop: searching, reading, writing, and repeat. As fate would have it, I was privileged to be given the opportunity to pursue a masters’ degree in Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law at the University of East Anglia in United Kingdom under a Chevening scholarship. Apart from teaching the subject, private practice, and my own personal interests on the subject, the Chevening experience of living and studying in the UK admittedly took a significant part in shaping the final outcome of this book - an experience that the author would forever be grateful for.
