Atty. Emmanuel LJ. Mapili

Biography

Atty. Emmanuel Lorenzo Jacalan Mapili, a Career Service Executive Eligible (CSEE), is Hearing commissioner at the House of Representatives Electoral Tribunal (HRET) and founding partner of BUHAIN SORIANO & MAPILI Law Offices. “Atty. Maps” to his colleagues was Law Books Editor of REX Book Store (RBS) and Managing Editor of its Supreme Court Advance Decisions (SCAD) (1993-1995 volumes), author of SCAD Doctrinal Subject Index for Quick Reference (1993, 1994 and 1995 editions) both published by RBS, and Acrostics I wrote (2012) which is a compilation of his over a hundred acrostic-poem-compositions, and co-author of six (6) books: Fundamentals of Nursing Law, Jurisprudence & Ethics (2008) published by Educational Publishing House; Omnibus Election Code with Rules of Procedure & Jurisprudence in Election Law (2007); Fundamentals of Dental Jurisprudence, Ethics & Practice Management (2009); Basics of Philippine Medical Jurisprudence & Ethics (2010); Introduction to Nursing Jurisprudence, Ethics and Leadership & Management (2011); and Effective Litigation & Adjudication of Election Contests (2012), all published by CENTRAL BOOKS. Atty. Maps underwent seminary formation at the Seminario Mayor-Recoletos in Baguio City which he failed to finish although he completed his Baccalaureate degree (cum laude) at St. Louis College-San Fernando City, LA UNION in 1987 and his Law degree at San Beda College of Law-Manila (SBC LAW-MLA) in 1992 and passed the 1993 Philippine Bar Examinations. He is founding chairperson of HRET Employees Cooperative, member of LEX TALIONIS FRATERNITAS of SBC LAW-MLA and Ateneo de Davao University, and lifetime member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines-Quezon City Chapter (IBP-QC).
