    Description:

Sometimes it is difficult to compose a legal document be-cause of the complex, if not the litigious, character of the matters to be framed in a written instrument. Eventually, it may become helpful to consult some publications on legal forms.

Ostensibly, few authors on legal forms cited jurisprudential principles on the subject. Earnest effort has therefore been made to present here—albeit not extensively—pertinent rules and recently reported judicial decisions indicating the essential elements of a particular contract or legal writing. In the preparation of this volume, the author carefully considered the need of those who wish to check the law and jurisprudence before starting to prepare the draft of a document.

With the help of this book, one may be able to select and fashion the right form of legally binding agreement. While creativity is desired, it is nevertheless generally accepted that every so often, adaption of certain drawn up forms are needful. The model forms written here—some of which were patterned and modified, from different local and foreign materials as well as from various publications and treatises—are intended only to serve as examples. They should not be employed as finished products to be used as templates where one may simply supply the data. One must meticulously examine the demands of the clients and adjust the form and the substance according to the essential requirements of the parties and the requisites of the law.

It is hoped that this humble work would be a valuable piece of reference in assisting students, businessmen and other practitioners in framing their needed legal instruments.
