Atty. Custodio O. Parlade is currently of-counsel to the Parlade Hildawa Parlade Eco and Panga Law offices; a member of International Court of Arbitration of the ICC; an Appellate Court Mediator; the President Emeritus of the Philippine Dispute Resolution Center, Inc.; an accredited arbitrator of the Construction Industry Arbitration Commission; a regular lecturer on arbitration in MCLE seminars for UP, Chan Robles, and occasionally for Ateneo, the IBP, including its chapters, and other providers; and an active arbitrator who often serves as chairman of an arbitral tribunal or as sole arbitrator and occasionally as member of the tribunal. In the past, he was Vice Chairman of the Supreme Court Sub-Committee on ADR that drafted the Special Rules of Court for Alternative Dispute Resolution; a member of the DOJ Committee that drafted the IRR of the ADR Act; one of the drafters of the ADR Bill that eventually was enacted as Republic Act No. 9285; and a member of the 2004 Technical Working Group, House Committee on Justice that revised the ADR Bill and adopted the UNCITRAL Model Law to govern international commercial arbitration in the Philippines. In 2008, he was listed as one of two Philippine arbitrators in the 2008 Who’s Who Legal for Arbitration, a publication of the International Bar Association.
