A distinguished alumna of the Ateneo Law School, her outstanding efforts led her to become an acceptor of the Special Alumni Recognition award. She is a skillful legal practitioner, as well as a renowned professor of law. Presently, she holds the position of Dean in the Asia and the Pacific School of Law and Governance.

Her current roster of publications include Civil Procedure Vol. 1 & 2, Civil Procedure: Provisional Remedies and Special Civil Actions, and the collaborative effort with Justice Jose Y. Feria, The 1997 Rules Of Civil Procedure Provisional Remedies and Special Civil Actions.
