Judge Noli C. Diaz has been teaching Transportation Laws, Sales and Statutory Construction among others for more than two decades. Judge Diaz started his career as a bank lawyer. Thereafter, he worked at the Department of Justice for more than fourteen (14) years, holding various positions from Parole Officer to Senior Parole Officer, and finally as the Assistant Chief of the Investigation Division of the Board of Pardons and Parole. He was appointed Assistant Fiscal of Manila on January 7, 1987 and was promoted to 4th Assistant Prosecutor of Manila on May 20, 1993, and on January 17, 1995 as 3rd Assistant City Prosecutor of Manila by His Excellency President Fidel V. Ramos. In February 1995, he was appointed as the Presiding Judge of the Metropolitan Trial Court, Branch 80, Muntinlupa City. On September 9. 2003, he was appointed as the Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 39, Manila by Her Excellency Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. His work experience has been enriched by his appointment as Professorial Lecturer in the College of Law of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Intramuros, Manila, and in the Faculty of Civil Law, University of Santo Tomas, Manila. His progress and maturity in the field of law have been further enhanced by his attendance in various in-service trainings and seminars conducted in the country and abroad. He attended the 67th International Law Association Conference in Helsinki, Finland in August 1996; the 68th International Law Association Conference in Taipei, Republic of China in May 1998; and the 69th International Law Association Conference in London, U.K. in July 2000 as delegate of the International Law Association (Philippine Branch). In September 2002, he attended the Stuttgart Conference of the World Jurist Association in Stuttgart, Germany. In recent years, Judge Diaz distinguished himself as author of three important books, namely, Statutory Construction, Transportation Laws Notes and Cases, and The Law on Sales as Expounded by Jurisprudence. These books have been adopted with instant success in several of our law colleges in the country. Judge Diaz is married to Ma. Pilar P. Sosa of Imus, Cavite, a Certified Public Accountant and BSC graduate of the De La Salle University, Manila.
