This textbook, Institutional Corrections: A TOS-Aligned Textbook for Criminology Education and Licensure Examination Preparation, was developed to serve as a comprehensive learning resource for criminology students, educators, reviewees, and practitioners. The contents are carefully aligned with the prescribed curriculum for criminology programs, the Criminologist Licensure Examination Table of Specifications (TOS), and relevant laws, policies, and operational guidelines governing correctional institutions in the Philippines. Special emphasis is given to the provisions of the BJMP Comprehensive Operations Manual (2015), the 2017 BJMP Administrative Disciplinary Machinery, as amended, the Bureau of Corrections Operating Manual, the United Nations Standard Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prisoners (Nelson Mandela Rules), and other legal and administrative issuances that guide correctional practice.
