Dr. Amado Maralit is a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas, and before pursuing his postdoctoral doctorate in Civil Law, he earned a public masterate in public administration at the University of the Philippines Diliman. He currently teaches postdoctoral and postgraduate law and jurisprudence at De La Salle University, the University of Asia and the Pacific, and the University of Santo Tomas.
He is a Chief Counselor for the Upper House of Congress’s Legislative Parliamentary Law and Procedure Committee. The Philippine Civil Service Commission has also appointed him to the rank of Career Executive Officer Rank Six.
He co-authored a best-selling book, Gun Laws and Armed Defense, as an ardent wheelgunner and sports shooter. Other books he wrote include Hornbook on Senate Impeachment Trials, and A Very Short Introduction to Law Governing: Senate Investigations in Aid of Legislations.
