Elvin B. Villanueva is a Human Resource (HR) professional. He is also a labor practitioner appearing before the National Labor Relations Commission. He heads the HR department of one of the top 1,000 corporations in the Philippines. He is a Bachelor of Laws graduate finishing First Honorable in his batch in 2009. While in law school, he became a member of the Order of the Flaming Arrows (OFA), an honor students’ society in Arellano University. In 2008, he was awarded by Chief Justice Reynato S. Puno as one of the winners of the Supreme Court’s National Essay Writing Competition on “Rule of Law in National Development.” He has published articles in the Philippine Daily Inquirer and the Philippine Star and became a magazine columnist of Solar Publishing. He finished his undergraduate course, Mass Communication, cum laude, at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. During his college days, he was a news writer of the Ang Pamantasan, the university paper and eventually became an editor. He also taught in college, lecturing in schools like St. Paul College of Manila and the Lyceum of the Philippines. He is pursuing his Master in Business Administration (MBA) at the Ateneo de Manila University.
