Dean Nilo T. Divina is the founder of DivinaLaw and the current Dean of the UST Faculty of Civil Law. He is former president of the Philippine Associations of Law Schools and hailed as one of the top 100 lawyers in the Philippines by the Asia Business Law Journal in 2021. The Outstanding Thomasian Alumni (TOTAL) Awards at the University of Santo Tomas recognized Divina as an exemplary alumna in the field of Law and Justice in 2022.
He had his start as a Clerk of Court at a Regional Trial Court in Pasig, then went on to be an associate attorney at Misa, Castro, and Associates. He then became a corporate secretary at Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), and eventually got promoted as a General Manager/Executive Advisor to the Board.
He became a part of Equitable PCI Bank, going from General Counsel, to Corporate Secretary, and to Executive Vice President. And became a Member of the Board of Directors, United Coconut Planters Bank. Currently, he is also a Chairman of New Horizon Financial Consultants Inc.
He also has several positions within the legal academe, such as Former Co-General Counsel and Chairman on Legal Education and Bar, Former President, Philippine Association of Law Schools, Former Chairman, Philippine Association of Law Schools, a Bar Reviewer in Commercial Law, and as a Professor of Law at University of the Philippines, College of Law.
He took his pre-law, Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science (Cum Laude) at the University of Santo Tomas, as well as his L.L. B (Magna Cum Laude and Class Valedictorian). He got his Graduate Diploma in International Tax Law Post, Robert Kennedy College, Switzerland.
