Edgardo Gaddi Vazquez is the eldest child of Evaristo Roxas Vazquez, Sr. and Pilar Gaddi, was born on April 5, 1951. Being the eldest, his parents raised him up with strict discipline and the right values, believing that the eldest child should set a good example to the rest of the siblings. Gary was a very inquisitive little boy, always asking why and observing everything that went around him. His dad always taught him the value of not wasting anything, saying that everything and anything can be put to good use. His famous words “Kahit na isang pirasong kahoy, maaaring magamit pang sangkalan.” Gary Vazquez is an inspiring example of a rare breed of inventors, who has successfully commercialized his prefabricated concrete housing technology, well-known as the VAZBUILT System. His noble vision to provide decent, affordable homes to every Filipino working class, fueled his desire to share his technology to a wider range of classes in society, from vacation homes, the middle housing sector, to the low cost sector, and the socialized housing sector.
