A University of Santo Tomas graduate, Atty. Rene Gorospe placed second in the 1979 Bar Exams. He served as the faculty adviser of the UST Law Review from 1983 to 1991 and from 2003 to the present. He is currently a consultant at DivinaLaw. He received his Bachelor’s degree in AB Political Science from Saint Louis University (Cum Laude), and thereafter pursued his law degree at UST. At the bar exam in 1979, he came in second.

At present, he is a faculty member of UST Faculty of Civil Law and Far Eastern University Institute of Law. He is also a a Bar Reviewer in Political law, Constitutional law and Legal Ethics in various Universities and Review Centers; a Lecturer in various Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Seminars; and a member of the Committee on Suggested Answers to Bar Examination Questions in Political Law and Legal Ethics and Practical Exercises
