Description
This book was rooted into the complex grind of the Philippine Criminal Justice System (PCJS), the country’s comprehensive mechanism designed to uphold law and order, the protection of life, liberty and property, and deliver justice to our society. More than just any functions, the PCJS is a dynamic process involving interconnected pillars: the Law Enforcement/Police, tasked with initiation of investigation and initial contact with the enablers of crime; the Prosecution, which is responsible in proving guilt of the enabler; the Courts, who administers justice and determine the guilt; Corrections, focusing on punishment, rehabilitation, and reintegration of those who have been legally found guilty; and crucially, the Community, which is the foundation for crime prevention and offender reintegration.
