ONE interesting topic in the field of insurance concerns accident which is officially named “CASUALTY Insurance Law” under the Philippine INSURANCE CODE which was extensively amended by R.A. 10607. Even if its applicability is within the Philippines, yet, courts and authorities including writers of note refer to the American and the English laws, decisions and opinions on some cases of relevance to Philippine setting . . . . and that is wholesome practice.
The primary purpose of this work is to try to explain and even expand the Casualty Insurance Law in the Code which by the way is only allotted but one Section (Section 176) out of the 448 Sections of the Insurance Code.
