This book is a very apt sequence to Atty. Deo’s second book – “Mining a Way of Life”. It looks into the world of small-scale mining which are mostly illegal and undertaken by plain impoverished people in the countryside looking for work to earn. The small-scale mining activities have drawn little attention from the government, both local and national, compared to large-scale mining companies to whom environmental damages and of earning huge revenues are attributed compared with small-scale miners.
