Justice Jose I. Dela Rama was the first Dean of the Bulacan State University (BulSU) College of Law. He retired from the Court of Appeals in 1996.

He began his career at the Department of Justice before being appointed to the bench of the Angeles City Regional Trial Court in 1983. While in his heyday, he enjoyed considerable success as a trial attorney, sought out by several clients. He entered the legal field and eventually rose to the position of Justice on the Court of Appeals. After a lifetime of service to the law and the public, he retired with a spotless record.
