Recent development and practices in economics, trade and commerce here and abroad, necessitated the amendment of our national laws such as the Foreign Investment Act (FIA), Retail Trade Liberalization Act (RTLA) and Public Service Act (PSA). The changes were introduced to enable our laws to be compliant with the reciprocal laws of our trading partners, hence making our country competitive.
