Description
The inclusion of Volume 3 is unprecedented and unexpected, even by the author. It was supposedly subsumed under the previously announced Volume 3—The Consequences of Bullying (now Volume 4), but was published as a separate volume due to its disparity from the topics related to the consequences of bullying. The author wrote Volume 3 as a mode of discerning the incompetent hospital leaders and consultants who erred by omission in promoting rapport between trainees and mentors, and who failed to impose discipline to bully physicians. Volume 3 empowers the demoralized and dejected clerks, interns, and residents to assert their rights against hospital bullies and incompetent leaders inside the training system, and to give them hope and inspiration as they ascend from clerkship to consultancy. Volume 3 was not written to bully the hospital bullies, otherwise it will defeat the author’s genuine purpose of reforming the present status of Philippine medical education.
