Social workers practice far and wide where issues of social justice and fairness are found. This book was inspired by Pollack and it is about the world of social work and Philippine courts. It is not a legal textbook. Yet, it is about legal cases – cases which fortifies social work practice in the Philippines. These cases were selected because of the actual experience encountered by the author in line with his work as a former court social worker, a legal researcher and current Branch Clerk of Court. Also, these cases were chosen as the author believes that social workers would best serve their clients by adding legal lens to their practice.
