Description
This humble work seeks to present the 1987 Philippine Constitution in a sort of outline form. Noticeable throughout this modest manuscript is the presentation of the salient provisions of the fundamental law and highlighted, when possible, with pertinent jurisprudence. It merely seeks to present in a very light manner, the nuances and concepts embodied in the 1987 fundamental charter as well as to give the student a ready guide or outline. Since the approach to the study of the constitution in this work is light, references to the provision or section number was when possible avoided. Also, attendant in the study of the constitution in this work, the author has inserted quotations at the beginning of each section that encapsulates – through wisdom and more preferably through with the essence of that particular section. This work also took the liberty of attaching as annexes copies of the three Philippine constitutions from its original 1935 iteration, to its 1973 Marcos-inspired fundamental charter and to the current 1987 post-People Power event.
