This is what my good running, coffee-sipping friend, Rene (with his loving and most supportive wife, Rissa), has done in the last two years of the pandemic and post-pandemic times. While sipping his cup of freshly-ground coffee, courtesy of son Andre, he hits the keys of his laptop, allowing words to percolate and brew into phrases and sentences making sense of the seemingly senseless, interminable waiting behind closed doors for the end of the pandemic. “Those were difficult and dangerous times, sorely testing both our patience and our faith. But we survived, and I decided to share not so much the how but the why,” explains Rene.
