In this book entitled “Family Code of the Philippines Annotated,” Prof. Pineda presents a comprehensive and systematic annotation on the provisions of the Code. This was achieved through a comparative analysis of the provisions of the Family Code and the Civil Code provisions on Persons and Family Relations, an analytical survey of Supreme Court decisions on issues affected by the new Family Code, a discussion of the policy considerations underlying the changes ushered in by the Code, a study of the implications of the Family Code in relation to other provisions of the Civil Code and other laws including pertinent foreign laws and decisions.
