Description
This module provides an overview of the broad and diverse landscape of religion, religious experiences, and spirituality. Religious theories and perspectives from all persuasions are discussed with some detail, as it is deeply ingrained in the Filipino psyche, in norms of culture, spiritual practices attending it, and living itself. The course aims at bringing together academic insights with practical applications to deepen knowledge on how religion and spirituality shape everyday life and societal structures. In this regard, this module therefore brings out how religion and spirituality create a just, humane society—that is, making people understand, be compassionate, and hold productive lives.
