Description
This work seeks to present selected provisions of the Local Government Code related to local legislation to serve as a quick reference guide and material for members of the sangguniang barangay, the sangguniang lungsod, the sangguniang bayan and the sangguniang panlalawigan — including other stakeholders that have an interest and participation in nation building and development. This will highlight the same with doctrinal pronouncements of the Supreme Court, where applicable — with the end in view of providing much needed interpretation, illustration and refinement. Aside from the use of jurisprudence, this humble work also utilizes concepts and principles of law to provide a contextual and historical treatment to the dynamics of local legislation.
