Description
The idea of writing a book about the Philippine Territorial Defense is part of my ongoing journey to my country’s paradigm shift from internal to external security. This interest in trying to chronicle the military’s doctrines, strategies, and trainings and how these impact national security policies of different administrations have allowed me to compare and contrast, criticize and scrutinize, and contribute to scholarly works on national defense and national security for nearly two decades now.
This new book on Philippine Territorial Defense is a quintessential component of my international and well-received co-authored book on The Rise of Philippinedization: Philippinedization
is not Finlandization that paved a way for Manila―now a confident middle power in the dynamic region―by building a robust military capability on external defense, fighting for lawfare, improving the national economy, and widening its diplomatic network. In a way, this novel study that comprehensively discusses the country’s territorial defense is anchored as a second volume of my first published critical kindle and paperback on Philippinedization that talks more on resistance over neutrality to a belligerent foreign aggressor.
