Of all the subjects in remedial law, I find evidence to be the most captivating, dealing principally as it does with courtroom procedure and the accompanying drama and thrills of a court case. Many of us, whether lawyers or not, are fascinated by courtroom trials, and one immediately notices the salient role played by the rules on evidence, such as those regarding the admissibility of evidence, offer and objection to evidence, and the examination of witnesses.
In this regard, Judge Andrade-Udarbe set out to write a primer on evidence targeted primarily at law students. This is no mean feat considering that one must perform a delicate balancing act of simplifying the presentation of the law on evidence without eschewing the nuances and subtleties necessary for its correct understanding and application.
