First, the passage of R.A. 11862 which expanded the previous anti-human trafficking laws became effective last June 2022. The Expanded law significantly added several definitions aimed to penalize modern ways of committing human trafficking such as Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children and use of Child Sexual Exploitation of Children among others.
