This book is specifically designed to share various techniques and strategies about how to negotiate more effectively in the actual practice of law. The core message of this humble work is that lawyers should endeavor to solve their clients’ problems through negotiation first. Only after all amicable means to resolve the disputes have been exhausted should lawyers resort to litigation. Competitive negotiation tactics and more collaborative problem-solving approaches are included in the discussion. This book focuses on negotiation as client representation. Lawyers as advocates have affected the process of negotiation in many ways. Some of the best contributions that lawyers could make to improve the justice system is to exert maximum efforts to resolve their cases without overburdening the justice system.

For some law students, Political Law may not be as interesting as the other subjects, compared to, especially for the beginners, Criminal Law. Yet, in the Bar Exam, Political Law carries great weight in the computation of what would be the examinee’s final rating.

To help the examinees in conquering what would be one of the most important journeys of their lives, the Authors decide to write this pre-week reviewer to serve as their refresher or final reading material. The Authors hope for the best and wish the examinees “Good Luck!”.

I have my reluctance and reservation in writing this book encompassing the entirety of Political Law, with the notion that bar reviewers are of abundance these days. However, my view changed after the release of my revised edition of my Constitutional Law: The Fundamental Powers of the State and Bill of Rights, when I learned from fourth year law students that they are awaiting the aforesaid book for his Political Law Review subject. It then dawned to me the need for a compendium on Political Law for the law student, bar reviewer, and the legal practitioner.
